Safetech SLV-Viper-X2 Double Hook Gravity Latch

The Safetech SLV-Viper-X2 Double Hook Gravity Latch is a heavy-duty, double-sided locking system engineered for secure, bidirectional access control on gates and doors. The latch utilizes a double-hook gravity-operated locking mechanism, ensuring automatic engagement on closure from either side without reliance on springs or powered components, thereby enhancing operational reliability and service life.

Manufactured with a steel internal core combined with a high-strength polymer outer housing, the SLV-Viper-X2 provides excellent structural integrity, impact resistance, and long-term durability. The matt black finish delivers a professional appearance while offering resistance to corrosion and environmental exposure.

The rod can be trimmed and adjusted to post thickness from 30mm to 175mm / 2" - 7"

The system incorporates horizontal and vertical adjustment, allowing precise alignment during installation and accommodating gate movement or installation tolerances over time. An integrated key-lockable cylinder system (key-alike) provides controlled access from both sides of the gate and is supplied complete with two matching keys.

Optimised for an ideal installation gap of 20 mm, the latch maintains reliable operation across a broad gap variance of 14 mm to 34 mm, making it suitable for both new installations and retrofit applications. The SLV-Viper-X2 is compatible with aluminium, steel, vinyl, and timber gates and doors, making it suitable for residential, commercial, and industrial environments.
